About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Slitter to join our team at Pro-Pac Group, working on a diverse range of tasks in the process of print production. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality rewind as per the instruction provided via the Job Ticket.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain slitting equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
  • Supervise and instruct Assistants to ensure they understand and follow FSC22000 and ISO processes.
  • Implement and manage the continued implementation of HACCP and ISO policies, ensuring a clean, tidy, and safe work area.
  • Ensure a smooth handover to the next shift, including reporting any equipment faults or breakdowns.
  • Manage systems and processes to reduce quality issues from raw material through to finished goods.
  • Implement customer-specific quality requirements and investigate and report on waste %'s as well as process improvements to reduce waste.
  • Follow any work, safety, or procedural instructions from senior management.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Previous slitting experience is essential.
  • Experience within the packaging industry will be highly regarded.
  • Technical aptitude and strong practical skills and knowledge of machinery.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and good concentration.
  • The motivation to remain educated and up to date with developments in the printing industry.
