About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Traffic Control Room Officer to join our team at Transurban. As a key member of our control room team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic on our roads.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage traffic on open roads and in tunnels using various control systems.
- Work collaboratively with field staff, emergency services, and your team to respond to incidents and contain events.
- Develop and implement incident management and traffic management plans to ensure our roads run efficiently and safely.
- Collate real-time information on road conditions for stakeholders, the media, and customers.
- Understand and apply rigorous knowledge of traffic management policies, practices, and procedures.
Requirements
- Experience in a monitoring centre or operational environment.
- Computer skills and analytical ability, with a fascination for new technology and systems.
- Driven, resilient, and efficient, with confidence and professionalism in challenging situations.
- Organized, efficient, and decisive in prioritizing tasks and juggling multiple responsibilities.
- Experience in writing reports and identifying key details for smooth operations.
- Shift work experience, with a preference for flexible working arrangements.
