This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality women and newborn-centred midwifery care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards for Practice for Registered Nurses, and the Policies and Procedures of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality midwifery care to women and newborns.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide education and support to women and families.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.

A relevant qualification in midwifery or a related field is essential, as is current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
