Ecological Consultant Role

We are seeking a seasoned ecological consultant to join our team in either Newcastle or Sydney. As an experienced professional in the field, you will have a strong understanding of NSW biodiversity regulations and be able to deliver high-quality ecological assessments and gain regulatory approvals.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of preparing detailed proposals, BDARs, BSSARs, and technical reports. You will also be skilled in botanical identification, fauna ID, and vegetation integrity plots. A degree-qualified environmental scientist or ecologist with strong communication skills and experience in delivering ecological projects is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver ecological projects from start to finish.
  • Lead field assessments and ensure safety and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare high-quality proposals, BDARs, BSSARs, and technical reports.
  • Guide clients through environmental legislation and approval pathways.
  • Contribute to innovations in ecological survey techniques.
