Leadership Role

We are seeking a Temporary Full-Time Leader of Learning - Science to promote excellence in teaching and learning at our educational institution.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the curriculum requirements and be able to lead and support the development of quality teaching programs and learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring high standards of teaching practice
  • Leading and supporting the ongoing development of quality teaching programs and learning outcomes
  • Establishing a culture of collaborative and reflective practice
  • Supporting individuals in identifying new experiences for their continual professional development
  • Knowing students and striving to provide engaging learning that supports student wellbeing

The successful candidate will have:

  • A clear understanding of and a personal commitment to education and its mission
  • Demonstrated success in ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and creating effective professional learning
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to develop and sustain constructive and respectful relationships
  • Prior leadership experience and/or working towards Highly Accomplished or Lead Teaching Standards

Qualifications required include:

  • Four-year trained teacher classification with at least four years successful teaching experience consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
  • NESA Teacher Accreditation
  • Current paid Working with Children Check number
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training
  • Postgraduate study in education (desirable)
