Entry-Level Civil/Mechanical Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking an entry-level civil/mechanical engineer to join our team. This position involves working on various aspects of transmission line design, including new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates or those looking to gain experience in the field. The ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in an accredited civil or mechanical engineering program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.

  • The successful candidate will have demonstrated interest in civil or mechanical engineering and have a strong desire to advance their skills related to our work and projects.
  • They will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
  • The individual will be capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute projects.
  • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools is required.
  • The candidate must have a proven track record of upholding workplace safety and abide by our health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Key Responsibilities:

The entry-level civil/mechanical engineer will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design, including:

  • Supporting a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
  • Learning basic principles of civil/structural/mechanical engineering.
  • Assisting with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
  • Supporting preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
  • Assisting in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
  • Completing training on assigned tasks.
  • Exercising responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhering to our Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • An active enrollment in an accredited civil or mechanical engineering program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.
