Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Officer to join our team. This role will involve managing service requests and service disruptions within the EAS (Emergency Alerting System) Network.

The successful candidate will be responsible for escalating incidents that cannot be resolved within specified time frames to relevant team members, as well as liaising with teams to resolve identified issues.

In addition to these key responsibilities, the Network Operations Officer will also be required to develop good customer relationships through excellent customer service and update and maintain data integrity of various systems used within the NOC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Service Requests: Handle and resolve service requests and service disruptions within the EAS Network in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Escalate Incidents: Identify and escalate incidents that cannot be resolved within specified time frames to relevant team members to ensure timely resolution.
  • Liaise with Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve identified issues and ensure seamless operations.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers through exceptional customer service.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data across various systems used within the NOC.
Requirements
  • Helpdesk Experience: 12+ months of experience working as a Helpdesk Operator with a strong background in Paging/Transmission/Radio Networks.
  • NOC or ISP Experience: Previous experience in a NOC or ISP technical environment is highly desirable.
  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification in IT or Telecommunications is preferred.
  • Cisco Certification: Cisco CCENT/CCNA certification is preferred.
