Wound Management Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Wound Management Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Consultant to provide clinical leadership and direction for the management of patients with wound and skin integrity needs throughout the Royal Hobart Hospital and community services within the Southern region of Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert advice, support, and educational services to healthcare professionals on wound management best practices.
  2. Work collaboratively with nursing, medical, and allied health clinicians to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  3. Contribute to the development and implementation of wound management policies and procedures.
  4. Participate in education and training programs to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals in wound management.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical expertise in wound management, including assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to meet service objectives.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to support interdisciplinary team activities.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification or working towards one.
Benefits:
  • A competitive salary range of $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro-rata).
  • An additional 12% superannuation contribution.
  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10%.
  • Salary packaging options such as living expenses up to $9,010, meal entertainment, and other benefits if eligible.
