About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist to join our renowned Geotechnical & Tunnels team in Newcastle, Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on iconic projects, drive future-ready outcomes, and collaborate with talented professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders from proposal preparation to project delivery.
  • Undertake and manage geotechnical investigation and design projects from proposal preparation to fieldwork, analysis, and reporting.
  • Support the delivery of dam surveillance, safety inspections, risk assessments, and development of safety management systems.
  • Use your interpretation and design skills to contribute to geotechnical projects in the energy transition, mining industry, and transport industry.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team throughout project delivery.
  • Drive business development through successful project delivery.
  • Promote a safe working culture by identifying and eliminating safety hazards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology degree, with postgraduate qualifications in a geotechnical-related field considered favorably.

You will have experience in geotechnical engineering/engineering geology, with a successful track record in undertaking and managing field investigations for small to large-size geotechnical projects.

You will also have a strong work ethic, ability to work autonomously and in a team environment, and natural talent in promoting a safe working culture.
