Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Colour Specialist to join our team in a full-time role. As a key member of our design and production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of colours across all fabrics and trims.

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with designers, suppliers, and production teams. You will be responsible for managing lab dips, reviewing submissions for colour accuracy, and maintaining lab dip records.

In this role, you will also be responsible for aligning with designers on visual intent and raw materials on technical feasibility, reviewing BPS/BTS submits for continuity, and flagging discrepancies early.

Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating fastness testing, reviewing third-party lab reports, and ensuring compliance before bulk approval. You will also manage test failures and corrective actions with suppliers.

As a Colour Specialist, you will be required to maintain an organized digital and physical colour library, update internal systems with approved codes and references, and monitor bulk colour issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage lab dips across all fabrics and trims for seasonal and core programs
  • Review submissions for colour accuracy and provide clear vendor feedback
  • Maintain lab dip records in PLM or internal systems
  • Ensure colour consistency across substrates (fabrics, trims, prints)
  • Align with Design on visual intent and Raw Materials on technical feasibility
  • Review BPS/BTS submits for continuity and flag discrepancies early
  • Coordinate fastness testing to meet performance standards
  • Review third-party lab reports and ensure compliance before bulk approval
  • Manage test failures and corrective actions with suppliers

Requirements:

  • 1+ Year Experience in a Colour role
  • Familiar with textile compliance & sustainability
  • Foundational knowledge of textiles, including fabric construction, fibres, finishes, and performance properties
  • Understanding of colour testing and validation, colour Management
