">Job Description:

The Principal Policy Officer plays a key role in the development and implementation of policies and strategies to address priority reforms in the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector. The successful candidate will work closely with the Manager, AOD Policy and Strategy to develop and monitor policy initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives.

">Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Health Services, NGOs, and program and policy areas within the department.
  2. Contribute to the development of policy and initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives.
  3. Represent the department on key government and non-government committees and bodies concerned with achieving relevant government and departmental objectives.
">Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess a tertiary qualification in health or a related field, expertise in health system reform, and a strong understanding of the Victorian health system, including knowledge of the department's operating processes and information systems.
