Casual Field Staff Member

South East Queensland is seeking a casual field staff member to work 4-5 days per week across various projects. Locations include the Gold Coast region.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Meet with supervisors and project managers to discuss tasks and objectives.
  • Attend toolbox safety meetings to ensure daily work is conducted safely.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, following instructions and communicating effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Prepare equipment and vehicles for the next day based on daily rosters.

Requirements:

  • Experience in ecological restoration, landscaping and/or horticulture industries.
  • Ability to identify native and exotic plants.
  • Manual driver's license and own transportation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience and interest in working outdoors full-time.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and work independently.
  • Motivation to complete tasks and achieve good outcomes.
  • Flexibility to work in various environments.
  • Construction Industry White Card and relevant certifications such as ACDC, 4WD experience and a Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Cert III (or higher) in Horticulture or Conservation & Ecosystem Management.

Essential Requirements:

  • Australia work authorization.
  • Willingness to work in a range of outdoor environments.
