Job Title:

Senior Aquatic Ecologist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior-Aquatic-Ecologist to join our team in Perth. In this full-time permanent position, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of project delivery including proposal preparation, fieldwork, laboratory work, data analysis and report writing as well as mentoring junior ecologists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage technical expertise in aquatic environmental services and be recognized for specialist knowledge.
  • Design, lead and contribute to projects across freshwater environments to achieve timely and high-quality outcomes.
  • Conduct aquatic/water quality fieldwork in remote areas.
  • Develop high-quality technical reports.
Requirements:
  • A relevant bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field with specialized study in freshwater ecology desirable.
  • At least 5 years' experience as either an aquatic ecologist, biologist, zoologist or water quality specialist.
  • Excellent data analysis skills using uni- and multivariate techniques.
  • Proven project management experience including budgeting and client liaison.
  • A valid driver's license is essential.
