Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate Aquatic Ecologist to join our team in Perth.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional with expertise in aquatic ecology to contribute their technical leadership skills and specialist knowledge to deliver high-quality outcomes across freshwater environments.

  • Lead and contribute to projects in aquatic environmental services, achieving timely and high-quality results.
  • Design and execute fieldwork and laboratory work, including sample preparation and data analysis.
  • Mentor junior ecologists and contribute to the development of technical reports.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field, with specialization in freshwater ecology.
  • At least 5 years' experience as an aquatic ecologist, biologist, zoologist, or water quality specialist, with knowledge of scientific data collection in aquatic ecosystems.
  • Excellent data analysis skills using univariate and multivariate techniques, and proven ability to prepare reports to a high standard.
  • Project management experience, including budgeting and client liaison.
