Job Title: Test Automation Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to design and build automated test frameworks to verify the functionality and performance of cloud and data platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex automation frameworks using Python scripting with Pytest
  • Create and execute automated tests to verify functionality and performance of AWS services such as AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, Iceberg Tables, AWS Data Migration Service (DMS), Amazon S3, Redshift, and Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA)
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve quality outcomes
  • Participate in code reviews and lead reviews of colleagues' work
  • Responsible for interpreting and executing complex test scripts, analyzing results, and maintaining a defect register
  • Provide reports on progress, anomalies, and risks & issues associated with the overall project or release

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Strong proficiency in building test strategies, planning, test approaches, and methods
  • Experience in working in an environment with a structured test process
  • Proficiency in Python scripting using pytest, pandas, boto3 libraries
  • Knowledge of technologies such as Visual Code, Jira, Confluence, IntelliJ, GitLab, GitHub, NEXUS, Maven, Grafana, Putty, JMeter/Gatling
  • Proficient in querying and analyzing data, including advanced SQL query authoring, as well as data quality and data reconciliation processes
