Join our team as a Cloud & AI Solution Engineer in an innovative Data Platform for enterprise customers at Microsoft. You will work on cutting-edge projects leveraging the latest technologies to drive impact, in a collaborative and creative environment.

Databases & Analytics is a growth area for Microsoft Azure, including a portfolio of IaaS and PaaS services on the Azure platform in the age of AI. These technologies enable customers to build, deploy, and manage cloud-native database and analytics applications.

As a Solution Engineer, you will help enterprises unlock the potential of Microsoft's cloud database and analytics stack. You will collaborate with engineering teams to accelerate the Fabric Data Platform, including Azure Databases and Analytics, through engagements like proofs of concept, hackathons, and workshops. This role offers career growth, technical skill development, and opportunities to influence solution design and deployment, helping customers modernize their data platforms and maximize Microsoft's platform value.

You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers on secure, scalable solution design, influencing technical decisions, and accelerating migration workflows. Your work will directly impact customer success and platform adoption.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or solution architecture roles.
• Ability to deliver technical demos, proofs of concept, or prototypes to influence customer decisions.
• Experience leading customer engagements such as architecture workshops, hackathons, or code sessions.
• Understanding of cloud-native solution design, security, and scalability principles.
• Experience working with developers and technical stakeholders to co-design solutions.
• Technical troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve customer blockers.

Preferred Experience

• Expertise in Microsoft Analytics portfolio, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and Purview Data Governance.
• Experience with Azure database services such as Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with developer tools and modern application development practices.
• Experience speaking at developer forums, meetups, or community events.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and product teams to share feedback and improve products.
• Experience designing and scaling cloud-based analytics or data governance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical sales with decision makers using demos and PoCs to influence solution design and enable deployments.
• Lead hands-on engagements, hackathons, and architecture workshops to promote Microsoft's developer tools and cloud platforms.
• Build trusted relationships with developers and platform leads, co-designing secure, scalable architectures.
• Resolve technical blockers and collaborate with engineering teams to share insights and improve products.
• Represent Microsoft as a thought leader in developer communities and customer forums.
