Community Learning Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Learning & Programs Officer to join our team at Darebin City Council. As a key member of our Community Learning & Programs team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering adult event programming across Darebin Libraries, with a focus on adult learning and social connectivity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, plan, deliver, and evaluate adult learning programs on topics including community diversity and inclusion, health, wellbeing, and social connection.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of community engagement strategies and activities promoting adult learning.
- Develop effective collaborations with program providers, community members, and organisations to identify partnership opportunities.
- Supervise Community Programs Officers to support the delivery of programs and events.
- Contribute to the financial management of the events and programs budget.
- A degree qualification in a field approved by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) or in a field relevant to the position requirements, with some relevant experience, or diploma level with extensive experience.
- Strong organisational, stakeholder management, and communications skills.
- Knowledge of library collections and a demonstrated understanding of community development and adult learning principles.
- Experience in successfully planning, delivering, and reporting on programming and events.
