We have an exciting opportunity available for a Mishandled Baggage Handler to join our team at Brisbane International Airport.

This is a permanent part-time position that requires the successful candidate to be highly organized, have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure.

About the Role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for tracing and locating mishandled bags for international carrier clients, reporting on damaged bags directly back to the airline and ensuring efficient, safe and accurate adherence to clients' requirements during an aircraft turnaround.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring carousels for issues such as belt stoppages and passenger concerns
  • Liaising with the below wing team for missing baggage
  • Recording rush bags received
  • Reporting issues to supervisors
  • Creating and tracing files for missed or damaged bags
  • Forwarding/delivering of baggage to passengers

Selection Criteria:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Punctuality and reliability in attendance at work
  • Positive attitude
  • Basic - Intermediate computer skills
