Job Description

As a Senior IBM MQ Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and implementing functional solution approaches for stories, collaborating with Solution Architects and Product Owners/SMEs to gather requirements, and participating in workflow analysis and business process analysis. Your role will involve:

  • Liaising with client Product Owner/SMEs to gather functional requirements;
  • Designing a functional solution approach of the stories, together with the Solution Architect;
  • Participating in workflow analysis and business process analysis to identify and clarify requirements, current-future state identification, and contributing to the redesign;
  • Constantly focusing on value-driven delivery, motivating teams to deliver their commitment;
  • Liaising with all connecting teams (scrum of scrums) to resolve dependencies and create the overall implementation roadmap;
  • Participating in Design Sprints;
  • Validating the functional design;
  • Helping prioritize backlogs;
  • Ensuring best design practices are followed;
  • Creatings wireframes, visual designs, and procedures for installation and operation of various MQ Environments specific to Ch2.0 migration;
  • Interacting with Mulesoft integration & vendors with specific reference to IBM Messaging Queue platform;
  • Having more than 5+ years of experience in the following technology areas: IBM WebSphere 7.x (including ESB) and 8.5, IBM MQ 7.x, IBM JDK 6 and 7, Apache Tomcat, and working with developers to achieve the design.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in IBM MQ Profile;
  • Strong technical skills in IBM WebSphere 7.x (including ESB) and 8.5, IBM MQ 7.x, IBM JDK 6 and 7, Apache Tomcat, and Mulesoft integration;
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and stakeholders;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions and meeting project deadlines;
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
