About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Compliance Specialist to secure Koala's product quality, customer safety, sustainability, and testing standards while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements in our markets.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal development teams and supply partners to ensure new and existing products meet quality and compliance standards, test methods, and evaluation criteria across different markets.
  • Plan and manage testing schedules and costs, including booking tests and assessments with third-party providers and conducting in-house quality tests using various testing equipment.
  • Partner with designers and engineers to guarantee successful and on-time product launches and work collaboratively with the customer experience team to gather feedback for quality improvements from customer returns and warranty claims.
  • Contribute to improving our quality and compliance frameworks for existing and new markets by continually reviewing and refining test standards, methods, and evaluation criteria.
  • C coordinate with third-party providers to apply for and renew product certifications in different markets based on demand and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist stakeholders in conducting injury, quality, and compliance investigations by providing testing evidence and detailed analysis as needed.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance or quality role, preferably with expertise in furniture materials or products, or experience in FMCG, general merchandise, or similar fields.
  • Knowledge of furniture quality standards in different markets, including familiarity with ASTM, EN, ISO, and AS/NZS standards.
  • Proven experience in booking and managing tests and assessments with third-party providers.
  • Skill in analyzing customer feedback and translating insights into actionable improvements for future products.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as detailed product specification sheets and conduct data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to working effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
