Our organisation is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those in need. We are currently seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Communications Specialist.

This role will play a vital part in developing external facing content and communications across various marketing channels, including public relations and content marketing strategies, media releases, and engaging storytelling to raise awareness about our community services, retail business, and social justice advocacy initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective public relations and content marketing strategies to elevate our profile as a leading charitable organisation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create compelling content for various marketing channels and digital platforms.
  • Respond to media enquiries, draft press releases, and produce speaking notes.
  • Produce publications, assist in creating video content for internal and external use.

Key Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in business, communications, or marketing.
  • Experience and demonstrated skills in developing public relations and content marketing strategies and dealing with the media.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project ownership skills.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro X.
