Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and community-focused individual to provide home-based care to older people in the Alpine Shire towns of Bright, Myrtleford, and Mount Beauty.

  • You will build trust with our clients and support them to live as independently as possible at home, while staying connected to their community.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Home Care Support Worker, you will provide personal care to our clients, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. You will also provide general home support, light housekeeping duties, meal preparations, and companionship.

  • Incidental transport to appointments, shopping, and social outings.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (desired but not essential).
  • Exceptional communication skills, a can-do attitude, empathy for, and an understanding of the needs of the elderly.
  • Patient and willing to help improve the lives of seniors and their families.
  • Personable, approachable, and able to build relationships with each client.
  • Reliable, responsive, efficient, confident, and proactive.
  • Value and enjoy the company of older people.


Preferred Requirements:

It would be beneficial if you have:

  • A current Victorian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable car.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Test
  • Level 2 First Aid
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or have a Right to Work in Australia.
