Job Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors residing in residential aged care. As a dedicated caregiver, you will work closely with consumers to understand their individual needs and preferences, providing personalized support and assistance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality personal care and assistance to consumers, focusing on activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure seamless support and care coordination.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate records of medication usage.
  • Provide emotional support and promote independence among residents, helping them to meet their own spiritual and emotional needs.
  • Communicate effectively with external stakeholders and family members as required.
Requirements for Success

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Cert IV or equivalent in Aged Care, with a strong understanding of clinical care principles.
  • Previous experience working with clients who have behavioural or mental health issues is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with consumers and colleagues alike.
  • Intermediate computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an integrated service delivery team.
