About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd. As a key member of our AWS Infrastructure Services team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and operating our global network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automate the deployment of network infrastructure across all our network fabrics, supporting Amazon Retail Service, Kindle, Payments, and multiple AWS services.
  • Deploy, scale, and automate our network across multiple global datacenters, including existing footprints and greenfield locations.
  • Drive the scaling of current network designs to meet the demands of our customers.
  • Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality.
  • Work closely with internal customers to design and implement solutions, bringing them from concept to production.
  • Create and update network standards, ensuring the network is deployed to these standards.
  • Implement changes on the network and automate workflow and execution of deployments on a global scale.
  • Collaborate with automation teams to transition and design new tools that enable us to scale at unprecedented volumes.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience in large-scale networking environments.
  • 3+ years of experience with internet routing protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, ISIS, and/or OSPF.
  • 2+ years of experience in automation via Bash/shell scripting and Perl/Python programming.
