About the Role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane's Welcome Lounge & Day Procedure Unit is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to take up a permanent part-time position, working 32 hours per week. This role offers the opportunity to utilize best practice in the delivery of quality nursing care to our patients while working with a dynamic and supportive nursing team in a purpose-built setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality care to patients who are admitted for day surgery and inpatient care, ensuring excellent standards of nursing care at all times.
- Work closely with patients and their families to ensure they experience a sensitive, welcoming, and friendly environment at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with other health professionals and community services in the delivery of healthcare.
- Manage patient processes from admission through to discharge, utilizing recent surgical and/or perioperative experience.
About You
The successful applicant will possess:
- Recent surgical and/or perioperative experience, including the management of patient processes from admission through to discharge.
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- A demonstrated awareness of and involvement in quality and risk management.
