The Strategic Communication & Engagement branch is responsible for corporate communications, sponsorship, events, media, and social media services. It ensures a strategic approach to corporate communications and engagement with schools, communities, media, business, and other agencies.

  • Manage media services, including proactive and reactive media releases and responses, media training, and spokesperson duties in liaison with senior officials.
  • Ensure communication and media activities meet client needs, organisational objectives, and priorities.
  • Maintain effective issue and crisis management systems, supported by skilled people, to respond to emerging issues and promote positive initiatives.
  • Lead a communications team in researching, preparing, and approving public communication materials, including speeches, media releases, and feature articles.

About You:

You will have excellent time management skills, prioritise tasks to meet deadlines, contribute to continuous improvement, and provide strategic advice on communication activities.
