Job Title: Senior Architect

Westpac Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to lead the development and implementation of end-to-end solution architecture for major projects in the Enterprise Services domain.

About the Role:

This is a highly visible and dynamic role that requires a strong understanding of solutions architecture and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining solution architecture plans, ensuring effective architecture strategy, and translating business needs into enterprise architecture requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain solution architecture plans for each project, ensuring alignment with the overall IT Strategy.
  • Translate business needs into enterprise architecture requirements.
  • Rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
  • Experience across multiple architecture domains, including implementation in large organisations.
  • Understanding of cloud native application characteristics and integration design.
  • Experience in solutioning and implementing modern technologies, such as microservices architectures and open banking.
  • Proven results in delivering major business solutions into production.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architect disciplines and frameworks.
  • Developing leadership skills, including facilitation and mentoring.
  • Experience in streaming and eventing architecture.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Applied knowledge of financial models and budgeting.
