Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Fire Systems Manager to lead the safe and reliable operation of all fire systems at a leading university.



Main Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Provide direction to ensure compliance and reliability of all fire systems and equipment.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contract services for repairs and maintenance, enhancing operational efficiency within set parameters.
  • Partnerships and Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with teams, service providers, and stakeholders to deliver infrastructure services on time and within budget.
  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Ensure optimal maintenance and upgrades of assets, maximizing their value and lifespan.
  • Central Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for fire systems and services, supporting academic and research needs.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A trade qualification in Fire Systems and/or Mechanical HVAC systems, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, analytical abilities, strategic planning capabilities, and succinct reporting.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), Quality Assurance (QA), and environmental legislation and systems.
  • Experience working with capital works, infrastructure, and development projects.
  • Familiarity with building services delivery and operations.
