About the Role

As a Fire Systems Specialist, you will play a crucial part in designing and developing fire protection systems for commercial and residential projects. This is a full-time position based in our Crows Nest office, offering diverse and challenging projects that contribute to client safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing fire protection systems, including sprinklers, alarms, and extinguishers, to meet building codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate fire protection into overall building design.
  • Preparing technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Conducting site inspections and coordinating contractor installation and commissioning of fire protection systems.
  • Staying up-to-date with fire safety regulations, technologies, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Building Services Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in fire protection system design, preferably in building services industry.
  • Thorough understanding of fire safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD and fire protection tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects.
