Claims Debt Recovery Officer Role Overview

The Claims Debt Recovery Officer works as part of the Payment and Recovery team, responsible for timely and accurate calculation and payment of incapacity benefits.

This role delivers, monitors, and contributes to a range of functions related to debt recovery for income support, including actioning requests from claimants, investigating how the overpayment occurred, preparation of waivers and write-off recommendations, and working with other areas as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Action claims-related correspondence and notifications in accordance with procedures.
  • Investigate claims-related issues and discrepancies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and submit reports on claims recovery activities and outcomes.
