Position Overview: SCCM Configuration Expert

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the development of new operating system images and provide troubleshooting support for OSD (Operating System Deployment).
  • Design and implement new task sequences, as well as upgrade existing ones, for image builds.
  • Manage the download, testing, and deployment of feature updates to client PCs.
  • Oversee software deployment and monthly patch management for both user systems and domain controllers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in patch management utilizing WSUS and SCCM 2012 (System Center Configuration Manager).
  • Possess experience with IBCM/CMG.
  • Implement Intune and Azure mobile device management in conjunction with SCCM and Office 365/Exchange hybrid environments.
  • Facilitate Intune integration with Azure and System Center for mobile device management.
  • Exhibit expert-level skills in security patch management and reporting for Windows clients and servers.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft Security Update process, including bulletins, KB articles, and out-of-band patches.
  • Ensure the upkeep of SCCM by analyzing log files, validating deployment strategies, and troubleshooting performance challenges.
  • Showcase expertise in imaging, patch management, scripting/automation, and software packaging technologies, with a focus on leveraging System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Orchestrator.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and the ability to write and troubleshoot software deployment and security configurations.
  • Utilize packaging and scripting tools, including PowerShell and VBScript, to manage SCCM certificates.
  • Excel in imaging, patch management, scripting/automation, and software packaging.
  • Build, configure, deploy, support, and maintain the SCCM Server and Distribution Points (DPs).
  • Manage the SCCM Software Update Point (SUP) and perform scripting to automate various functions.
  • Exhibit strong troubleshooting abilities and the capacity to diagnose issues across multiple disciplines, facilitating improvements based on root cause analysis.
  • Possess good technical writing, presentation, and documentation skills.
