Music Educator

This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver engaging music lessons, tailored to the needs of students in a dynamic school environment. As a Music Educator, you will play a vital part in fostering young learners' musical, intellectual, social, physical, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop daily and long-term lesson plans that align with music curriculum standards.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction that promotes music appreciation across diverse styles, genres, and cultures.
  • Organise and maintain a well-resourced classroom, including instruments and audio equipment.
  • Promote positive behaviour and discipline to ensure a respectful and focused learning environment.
  • Supervise students during rehearsals, performances, and music-related excursions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and broader school initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in teaching secondary school music with strong curriculum knowledge.
  • Ability to lead ensembles and teach HSC/Stage 6 music highly desirable.
  • Skilled in delivering lessons across performance, theory, and music appreciation.
  • Effective classroom management skills.
  • Strong assessment capabilities with accurate monitoring and reporting of student progress.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Music Education or Master of Teaching (Secondary).
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
