At WorkPac, we are seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Advisor to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to support our clients in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, with a proven track record of providing expert advice and guidance to employees and managers on health and safety matters.

The purpose of this role is to support business compliance with the company health and safety management system, particularly site requirements. You will conduct and assist incident investigations, review and update H&S management plans and risk registers onsite, report and investigate hazards and incidents, and ensure implementation of agreed control measures.

You will participate in toolbox meetings, attend client safety meetings as required, maintain up-to-date knowledge, and ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation. Additionally, you will lead onsite meetings with key management positions prior to auditing and review processes, implement and adhere to all safety policies, plans, and procedures, and provide visible safety leadership.

We are looking for a candidate with a relevant tertiary qualification or certificate in Health and Safety or Environmental, at least 3 years' experience as a SHEQ advisor or equivalent, demolition experience, a Class C Drivers License, and demonstrated experience in hazard and risk assessment and mitigation.

The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of WHS and other relevant legislation, investigation techniques to industry standards, and the ability to ensure safety compliance and auditing requirements. They should also possess high-developed communication and interpersonal skills, be able to formulate recommendations, and hold ICAM Lead Investigator or equivalent accreditation.
