We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Bupa Waratah, a modern care home in Newcastle. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing well-presented and nutritious meals to our residents in a home-like environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prepare balanced and nutritious meals for our residents, taking into account their dietary, individual, and cultural needs.
- Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure that residents' needs are met.
- Support the efficient functioning of the kitchen and catering services.
- Comply with all infection control and food safety procedures.
- Perform administrative duties related to the kitchen operation, such as stock taking and food quality assessment.
- Previous experience in meal preparation and delivery in a similar environment.
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to solve problems independently.
