About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cook to join our team at Bupa Waratah, a modern care home in Newcastle. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing well-presented and nutritious meals to our residents, ensuring their dietary, individual, and cultural needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare balanced and nutritious meals for residents
  • Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure residents' needs are met
  • Support the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services
  • Comply with infection control and food safety procedures
  • Perform administrative duties related to kitchen operation
Requirements
  • Previous experience in meal preparation and delivery in a similar environment
  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve problems independently
