Our organization is seeking an experienced Information Security Officer to join our team in this newly created role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining our information security management system to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our information assets.

Some key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Developing and maintaining our information security policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure our commitment to a robust security posture.
  • Managing regular security assessments, vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Responding to security-related queries and audits from our regulated client base.
  • Leading and managing security audits and assessments conducted by external parties.

To succeed in this role, you will require a minimum of 5 years' experience in information security and strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

You will also need professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CEH, AGSVA NV-1 Security clearance, and in-depth knowledge of information security principles, practices and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Information Security Policy Development

Develop, maintain and implement information security policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure our commitment to a robust security posture.

Security Risk Management

Manage regular security assessments, vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks.

Security Audit and Compliance

Respond to security-related queries and audits from our regulated client base, and lead and manage security audits and assessments conducted by external parties.

Requirements

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years' experience in information security, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Certifications

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CEH, AGSVA NV-1 Security clearance, and in-depth knowledge of information security principles, practices and technologies.
