  • We have vacancies for Geology Technicians at our Thunderbox Operation, offering a unique rotation with 8 days on and 6 days off FIFO ex Perth.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect, process, and sample diamond drill core.

Contributing to the accuracy and timeliness of geological data, including recovery, RQD, SG, and magnetic susceptibility.

Supporting the supervising geologist in photographing core trays and saw core for sampling.

Ensuring efficient drill core storage, retrieval, and sample preparation processes.

Dispatching samples to assay laboratories in a timely manner and handling sample pulp storage.

Maintaining accurate records through data entry and record keeping.

Requirements:

Experience: Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within mining or exploration environments, along with demonstrated mechanical knowledge (including 4WD operation), recovery skills, and a solid understanding of MS Office suite.

Qualifications: A valid C-class WA driver's license and a current, approved forklift ticket are necessary. A Seniors First Aid certificate is beneficial.

Personal Qualities: Excellent communication skills, adaptability, flexibility, and a strong willingness to learn are desired. The ideal candidate should be able to plan tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team.
