About the Role:

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Community Development Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with diverse community groups, government agencies, and local organizations to design and deliver community capacity building initiatives aligned with the NDIS's ILC Policy Framework and the Partners in the Community Deed.

 

  • To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in community development and/or capacity building with measurable outcomes.
  • A strong knowledge of the NDIS, disability sector, ILC Policy Framework and PitC program is also essential.
  • You will need to have proven ability to build genuine partnerships and co-design with individuals with a disability.
  • In addition, you will require experience in project planning, performance measurement and community engagement.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills are also necessary.
  • A high level of organisational and self-management skills are required.
  • You must be able to work independently in a community-based setting.
  • A strong commitment to inclusion, diversity and accessibility is also expected.
  • Finally, experience managing community events would be advantageous.
