Job Opportunity:
">An exciting opening exists for an experienced, highly motivated and suitably qualified individual to take on the role of Senior Base Engineer.
This full-time position reports to a senior leadership figure and is based in Perth.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure adherence to engineering procedures and certification standards.
- Maintain the necessary infrastructure for safe and compliant conduct of all engineering activities.
- Monitor and control costs associated with aircraft and ground support equipment maintenance.
- Provide proactive leadership of the Perth-based engineering staff and participate in broader engineering directives.
- Coordinate resources, including manpower, equipment, tooling, data, and aeronautical products to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and control engineering performance metrics, such as OTP, efficiency, and costs, at the Perth Engineering base.
- Update regulatory and maintenance information held at the base.
- Ensure serviceability of tooling and equipment and manage a preventative maintenance/service program for engineering ground support equipment.
- Monitor training and performance requirements for engineering staff.
- Participate in WHS initiatives and directives.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
- A proven self-starter with a flexible attitude.
- Able to manage a close-knit team while working independently.
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative.
- Ability to manage strict deadlines.
- Experience in airline operations.
- Hold a CASA B1 or B2 licence and be eligible for Saab 340 type training.
