Electrical Engineer - Project Lead Role

This is a high-profile opportunity to lead an interdisciplinary engineering team in delivering medium to large EPC and EPCM projects.

You will be responsible for planning, conducting, and leading independent electrical work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of electrical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on a medium size project or assignment.

The role involves supervising, coordinating, and reviewing the work of a small to medium-sized team of engineers and designers. You will also provide technical input to meet procurement requirements, review and make recommendations on electrical engineering aspects of bid evaluations and awards, and communicate complex technical issues to upper management.

To succeed in this role, you will require a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience. Current RPEQ registration is also required.

Key skills and qualifications for this role include relevant work experience in FEED, proposal & detailed engineering preferably in an EPC/EPCM industry for large industrial plants, power projects, utilities, oil and gas plants. You will also need knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computer applications within the Electrical engineering discipline.

A successful candidate will have experience in design, procurement, construction, commissioning, or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, or process plants. They will also possess knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods, precedents in the Electrical discipline, principles, and practices of inter-related disciplines.
