About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our multi-disciplinary disability services team at The Benevolent Society. As a Speech Pathologist, you will work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services to individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally appropriate assessments and interventions to individuals with disabilities who require language, literacy, voice, and specific eating, drinking, or total communication support.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and therapy plans to meet the unique needs of our clients.
  • Deliver evidence-based services that meet the needs of clients according to their NDIS plans.
  • Participate in support planning processes to ensure coordinated and effective service provision.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including family members and carers, to ensure effective communication and support.

Requirements
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Minimum of 9 months to 1 year of experience in speech pathology, preferably in a disability setting.
  • Experience working with NDIS clients and knowledge of evidence-based practice frameworks.
  • Ability to work in a flexible, person-centered, and strengths-based way across a diverse range of settings.
  • Commitment to cultural safety and reconciliation, and a willingness to contribute to and develop professional skills through internal practice communities.
