About the Role

The Assistant Director of Evaluation will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering evaluations of strategic projects. Reporting to the Director of Evaluation, you will embed rigorous evaluation practices, support the development of theory of change and logic models, provide expert advice on evaluation methodologies, and supervise staff.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality evaluations of strategic projects.
  • Develop and implement logic models and evaluation frameworks for programs, policies, and services.
  • Supervise research officers in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Enhance evidence-informed practice within the organisation to deliver better outcomes.
  • Broaden partnerships with external research bodies to engage the wider disability research community effectively.
  • Drive innovation in service delivery to improve outcomes and ensure sustainability.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Proven expertise in program and service evaluation.
  • A strong ability to analyse and report on both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and management.
  • An interest in working within the disability sector.
  • A relevant degree in a field such as social sciences or public policy.
  • Experience in research, evaluation, or similar roles within a complex organisation.
  • Citizenship of Australia.
