Senior Laboratory Specialist for Pathology Services

A highly skilled Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist is sought to lead a team of scientists in a Microbiology and Serology Department at Liverpool Hospital.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, customer-focused approach, attention to detail, experience in documentation and report writing, organisational and managerial abilities, and leadership skills. Excellent communication and teaching skills are essential.
Key responsibilities include managing scientific, technical, and support staff, overseeing testing activities and logistics, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, compliance, and accreditation, and handling human resources and resource management.
Requirements:- Bachelor Degree or higher in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent relevant to pathology.
- Customer-focused with strong interpersonal, communication, report writing, and data evaluation skills.
- Knowledge of NSW and Australian accreditation standards and quality systems.
- Management experience in laboratory operations, administration, and business development.
