As a skilled Nurse, you will bring customer-facing skills and passion to deliver an exceptional service while helping ensure Australia's supply of blood products.

A typical day in this centre could see you:

  • Welcoming and interviewing potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability for donation
  • Providing clinical oversight and guiding team members through the blood collection process
  • Completing routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Setting up equipment for blood collections
  • Collecting whole blood, plasma, and platelets safely and efficiently
  • Managing adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and assistance
  • Monitoring donors post-donation and assisting them to rebook for their next appointment

Our comprehensive training program has a balance between on-the-job practice and online learning schedules to ensure your success. In addition to delivering an excellent donor experience, you'll need to possess:

  • The ability to occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs
  • Regular standing, walking, and bending to set up and pack down equipment and blood products
  • A Bachelor of Nursing degree (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts (Mostly 6 Hour Shifts)
