As a risk analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Energy Markets team with market risk analysis and model development. Your primary responsibilities will include contributing to the creation of comprehensive market scenarios and energy market risk assessments.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify emerging trends and their potential impacts on the company's energy market activities.
  • Conduct market risk analysis using models such as earnings at risk, value at risk, mark to market, volumetric, and stress testing.
  • Develop and manage market risk information systems to ensure accurate and efficient data handling.
  • Assist the Energy Markets team by providing in-depth risk analysis and supporting the development of trading strategies that maximize returns within defined risk limits.
  • Perform situational analysis to gain a deeper understanding of the market forces affecting the company's business and performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree in Economics, Science, Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • Substantial knowledge and experience in statistical analysis and research techniques, including the use of research methods and the documentation and presentation of findings.
  • Strong initiative, sound judgement, and the ability to take ownership.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex data insights to key stakeholders.
