We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Finance team as an Assistant Accountant/Senior Finance Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance expert who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

This position offers the chance to work across various finance functions, including payroll, financial management, bookkeeping, and inventory management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to month-end and year-end reconciliations, inter-company transactions, financial reporting, and general finance administration.
  • Assisting and supporting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including invoice processing, statement reconciliation, queries, and debtor management.
  • Providing sound knowledge of inventory management and reporting, analyzing financial data to aid in decision-making.
  • Preparing annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and relevant statutory requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized accounting qualification or relevant work experience.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive work ethic, eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, with Power BI knowledge being an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and projects.
