Civil Construction Project Manager

Overview of the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the completion of civil infrastructure projects on time and within budget, ensuring a safe work environment and delivering quality results to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting and programming to optimize project timelines
  • Maintaining adherence to OHS and environmental requirements
  • Coordination of Plant, Labour and materials for project execution
  • Daily monitoring of activity costs and financial performance
  • Ensuring a safe site and high-quality product construction through regular inspections and audits
  • Efficient use of resources and minimizing waste
  • Administration including timesheets, delivery dockets and reporting
  • Start up processes, toolbox talks, site inductions and competency checks
  • Reporting and Audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
  • Communication and coordination with stakeholders, including DBYD, PMPs, SWMs and MSDs
  • Incident management and reporting

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent qualification
  • Substantial experience in civil construction with a proven track record
  • Excavator License and Current Driver's License
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate teams
  • Thorough understanding of drawings, specifications and quality requirements
  • Strong sense of teamwork and adaptability
  • Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
