We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Professional to join our team at Challenge Community Services. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing essential assistance to our high-needs clients, aiding with personal care and daily tasks.
Our team promotes autonomy and supports residents around the clock, fostering independence within a shared living environment. You will work closely with clients who use wheelchairs and have additional medical needs, ensuring they receive the necessary care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and daily assistance to clients with high needs
- Support clients with complex medical needs, including those who use wheelchairs
- Work collaboratively with the team to promote autonomy and independence
- Handle complex situations with empathy and composure
We are looking for a candidate who is:
- Confident in engaging with clients effectively, building positive relationships, and supporting their unique needs
- Resilient and self-assured, able to work with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Skilled in prioritizing tasks and demonstrating problem-solving abilities
- Flexible, with availability for shift work, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook
- Holder of a valid Australian Driver's License, Working With Children Check, and NSW NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Able to pass a National Criminal History Check
- Full COVID vaccination status
- Experience with high-needs Disability clients
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent (desirable)
- Demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) processes (desirable)
As a Support Professional at Challenge Community Services, you will enjoy:
- Schad's Award Level 2 pay rates based on qualifications and/or experience
