About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Research Infrastructure Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality biomedical research facilities, scientific and other support services.

Job Summary:

  • The successful candidate will oversee and implement efficient and effective delivery of day-to-day operations, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives and implement initiatives.
  • They will ensure the management of processes and delivery of operational services meet the faculty's research outcomes and maintain the high standard research facilities.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in people leadership, development, engagement, and management, with proven skills to motivate, inspire, and mobilise diverse teams to create a positive workplace culture and deliver quality outcomes in a complex environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of thirteen direct reports, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  3. Collaborate with various teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications with extensive relevant experience in providing high-quality operations or operational support within a research setting.
  • Proven extensive experience in people leadership, development, engagement, and management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • Sound influencing and consultation skills, with proven ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
