Offshore Crewing Professional

This is a senior role within our organization, focused on the safe management of offshore personnel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team to ensure all crew members have the necessary experience, qualifications, and medical fitness to perform their duties safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Asia Pacific Crewing Team to ensure compliance with local government requirements and up-to-date visa, work permit, medical, and flag state requirements.
  • Manage the APAC Crewing team's capability development, resource planning, and work allocation.
  • Oversee Subsea and Marine crew competence and capability development, ensuring safe manning and compliance with STCW, MLC, Charter Party, Flag state codes, and standards.
  • Communicate with Project Managers/Vessel Masters/Superintendents to discuss project and client crew competence requirements.
  • Interface regularly with Vessel Masters to manage all crew matters.
  • Resolve swiftly, respectfully, and fairly any crew disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Recruit Casual Subsea Project Crew and Marine Crew.
  • Implement and comply with DOF's crewing systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain professional networks and relationships with Unions across the APAC Region.

Requirements:
  • Proven success in a similar leadership role.
  • Leadership skills and substantial experience in international crewing in the Offshore Energy Sector.
  • Conversant with Maritime and Offshore Energy Industry codes and legislative requirements.
  • Tertiary Qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • Strong resilience, ability to work under pressure, good listening skills, and passion for continuous improvement.
